WWE Superstar Appears At Bloodsport & Confirms Deal Coming Up

July 29, 2024 Off By Tim Jarrell

One WWE Superstar wants to fight.

We have heard recently that a number of WWE Superstars contracts are expiring soon. Two of those are Bobby Lashley and MVP. Both are not expected to remain with the company and at least for MVP that is no longer a rumor as he confirmed it on Sunday.

Sunday night we saw Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XI where Josh Barnett defeated Bad Dude Tito. After his match, in a surprise to everyone WWE Superstar MVP made his way out to the ring. MVP confirmed that his contract with WWE is up soon and he is not ready to retire. He wants to fight and he wants to fight Barnett. MVP stated the following,

“Well Josh, you and I have been friends for a very long time, haven’t we? When I first started training in submission wrestling it was with you in California, right? Eleven years later I recently got my black belt in Brazilian ju-jitsu… and my contract, with the company I won’t mention right now is about to expire, and I’m not going back Josh. I’m not ready to retire yet, and there’s a few things I have to do before I hang them up for good. Josh Barnett will you fight me at a Bloodsport?”

After the challenge was put out there Barnett responded telling MVP he would be happy to do this anywhere, anytime. No date has been given for when the next Bloodsport event will be taking place with many thinking the next one may not happen till next year in Las Vegas over WrestleMania weekend.

When it comes to MVP this is the first card to fall as far as what he wants to do once he is no longer under contract with WWE. Now we have to sit around and wait to see what else could be coming for the former United States Champion.
