WWE Reportedly Replacing 205 Live With New Show

205 Live is going to be taken to the next level.

Since 2016 WWE has run the show 205 Live. When the show first started it would air live after Smackdown on Friday nights and film with the main roster but only feature cruiserweight wrestlers who weight 205 pounds or less. Then march of 2020 they started filming it with NXT with remaining on Fridays but not live. Also starting last year the format of the show slightly changed to featuring any NXT talent and not just cruiserweights. Now it looks like more changes are coming.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Johnson reports that possibly starting today WWE will be doing away with NXT and changing the name of the show to NXT: Level Up. WWE actually filed a trademark on the name back on February 9th.

The elimination of the name 205 Live comes just weeks after WWE did away with the Cruiserweight Championship. We saw NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes defeat Cruiserweight Champion Roderick Strong to merge the two titles together.

If we do hear anything else regarding 205 Live becoming NXT: Level Up, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
