WWE Reportedly Contemplating Moving The WrestleMania 2021 Date
November 12, 2020WWE may move Mania back to allow fans in the stands.
Next year’s WrestleMania was originally announced to take place in Southern California. With the pandemic, WrestleMania is unlikely to take place in California due to the state’s Governor putting heavy restrictions on events like WrestleMania in the state running with fans in the stands. Now the plan if run it in Tampa, Florida to make up for Tampa not getting WrestleMania this year. Now it looks like more moves could be made.
According to WrestleVotes on Twitter, they report that WWE would move WrestleMania back a few weeks from the original March 28th date. This could be something needed to make sure they could actually get fans in the stadium.
There has been internal discussions about moving the scheduled date of WrestleMania from 3/28 to 4/11 or even 4/18. The goal remains to have fans in attendance for the event. The thought process of moving back the show a few weeks only helps that out.
