WWE Planning Special Pay-Per-View Next Month

January 11, 2020 0 By Tim Jarrell

Since 2010, except 2015, Elimination Chamber has been February pay-per-view for the WWE. It has been a tradition to help build the road to WrestleMania. This year it is not moving away from the road to WrestleMania but it is moving from February to March. As far as Fastlane goes which has been the March event, we have heard nothing about it. WWE then announced NXT Takeover: Portland in February and we thought that maybe the only PPV/special event in the month of February, but now it looks like WWE does have something planned next month.

According to a report from WrestleVotes on Twitter, they report that right now WWE is planning an international pay-per-view for February 20th. The location is not known.

As far as where this show could take place there are three places we would first think it could be. Either Saudi Arabia, Australia or maybe the United Kingdom. The reason we think these three locations, for Saudi Arabia we know there are two shows a year there but that may be too soon from the last show at the end of October.

With Australia, WWE did run an event there in 2018 and Triple H talked about how they loved everything about the show and would really want to run there again. As far as the United Kingdom, we know WWE has the NXT UK brand with a Takeover tomorrow, but the main roster has not run a special event there since Insurrextion in 2003.

Right now it looks nothing is 100% locked down yet but if we do hear anything as we inch closer to February 20th we will keep you posted.
