WWE Making A Change To The RAW Announce Team
January 27, 2020It looks like there has been a change in the lead announcer role on RAW.
If you noticed last night Tom Phillips worked with Jerry Lawler for the RAW side of this Sunday at the Royal Rumble. That is because Tom Phillips has been moved into the lead RAW announce position replacing Vic Joseph.
The news was first reported by WrestleVotes, who stated that Phillips would be replacing Joseph going forward.
Tom Phillips is replacing Vic Joseph on commentary for the RAW brand going forward.

PWInsider also confirmed this news adding that Vic Joseph is still with WWE and the decision to make this change was made over the last week.
Prior to Smackdown moving to FOX, Phillips had been the lead announced on the blue brand. When Michael Cole and Corey Graves moved to Smackdown, Vic Joseph and Jerry Lawler were placed on RAW. Since then Pillips had been doing commentary for the NXT UK brand.
At this time it is unclear if Joseph will go back to calling 205 Live and NXT UK or if WWE has another role for him in mind.
