WWE Looking For Specific New Venues for After The ThunderDome
September 15, 2020WWE wants to run outdoors later this year.
WWE is currently running from the ThunderDome inside the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. The contract for WWE to run in the Amway center is only till October 31st but both sides could extend the deal. WWE though is already scouting new locations for the time that can not be in the Amway Center anymore on a weekly basis.
According to WrestleVotes on Twitter, they report that WWE is looking for outdoor venues that they can use for RAW and Smackdown in a southern state with good weather.
Over the past week or so, WWE assembled a small team to figure out if running TV from outdoors venues would be fesisble once the ThunderDome contract expires. Idea is both SD & RAW would be in same location each week. Southern states with good weather is the preference. All TBD.

If WWE runs in an outdoor venue, that would mean that WWE would sell tickets to fans to their shows like AEW has been doing. Right now it’s unclear what exact locations WWE could be looking at and if we hear anything further on this, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
