WWE Issues A Statement Regard Jordan Devlin Abuse Allegations
June 18, 2020Today put a black eye on some popular wrestlers and one was Jordan Devlin the current NXT Cruiserweight Champion.
On Thursday a woman named Hannah posted on Twitter pictures of herself bruised up on her legs accusing current NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin of doing this to her stating, “This is scary. I’m really scared. Jordan Devlin did this to me. And this is just the physical damage.”
After the allegations were put online WWE released the following statement on the matter stating that they are aware of the situation,
“We take any allegation of this nature very seriously and are looking into the matter.”
Devlin is the current NXT Cruiserweight Champion but has not been seen on television since the March 7th edition of NXTUK where he defended the title against Travis Banks. It is unclear what type of action WWE will take in the wake of these allegations. Last time allegations were put on one of their wrestlers, said wrestler was released immediately. Also, Devlin was not the only NXTUK wrestler to be called out on social media for having bad and abusive behavior towards a woman.
Unrelated to this situation WWE did crown an “Interim” NXT Cruiserweight Champion in Santos Escobar and since winning the title in the finals of the tournament have dropped the “interim” part altogether.
