WWE Holding Double Smackdown Taping This Friday
July 16, 2024WWE is taping two episodes of Smackdown this week.
This week Friday Night Smackdown comes to us from Omaha, Nebraska and it will be more than a normal week’s taping. No Smackdown taping is scheduled for next week and then the next will be the night before SummerSlam in Cleveland. The reason for this is because of WWE going to Japan.
Next weekend WWE will travel to Japan for a three-day tour with a show in Osaka and two in Tokyo. They will be in Japan from Thursday, July 25 till Saturday, July 27 with all three shows being non-televised live events. With this they will be unable to run an episode of Smackdown on Friday, July 26 hence why this week’s show on the 19th they will tape two shows in one night.
As far as this week’s Smackdown does go three things have so far been announced for the show.

- Cody Rhodes responds to The Bloodline
- Carmelo Hayes vs. Andrade
