WWE Hall Of Famer Scott Hall Passes Away At The Age Of 63

March 14, 2022 0 By Tim Jarrell

Tonight the world lost the ultimate bad guy.

Over the past week and a half to two weeks we heard of the health issues that Scott Hall was having. He suffered a broken hip and needed to have hip surgery. He then had complications from the surgery that left him hospitalized due to a loose blood clot. On Sunday morning word came out that Hall had suffered three heart attacks and needed to be put on life support. Kevin Nash then posted that Scott would be taken off of the life support Monday and after that, he was still alive before ultimately passing away.

WWE then officially broke the news at the top of tonight’s Monday Night RAW on March 14, 2022. They ran an “In Memory” graphic for Hall and posted on Twitter that they were saddened to hear about his passing.

WWE is saddened to learn that two-time WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall has passed away.

A hugely influential Superstar, Hall began his career in 1984, performing with various organizations across the country before joining World Championship Wrestling in 1991 as The Diamond Studd. In 1992, Hall signed with WWE and introduced fans all over the world to the character of Razor Ramon, becoming a four-time Intercontinental Champion and one of the most enduring personas of WWE’s “New Generation.” He participated in memorable rivalries against Kevin Nash, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and countless others, with his two Ladder Matches against Michaels at WrestleMania X and SummerSlam 1995 both considered all-time classics by fans and industry insiders alike. In 1996, Hall re-joined World Championship Wrestling and joined Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan as the founding members of the nWo (New World Order), revolutionizing the sports-entertainment industry and ushering in the “Monday Night Wars.”

After retiring from the ring, Hall capped off a one-of-a-kind career by being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as Razor Ramon in 2014 and again as a member of the nWo in 2020.

WWE extends its condolences to Hall’s family, friends and fans.

When WWE posted this there were some that were still skeptical thinking maybe WWE jumped the gun here, but Sean “X-Pac” Waltman tweeted the following confirming Hall’s passing.

Scott Hall started in pro wrestling in 1984 under the name American Starship Coyote and wrestled pretty regularly till 2004. Then from 2005 to 2010, he wrestled off and on before having his last official match in 2016 against Chuck Taylor. Hall is most known for his run in WWE as Razor Ramon and his run in WCW as a founding member of the nWo.

To pay tribute to Hall, Kevin Owens opened tonight’s Monday Night RAW and the first thing he said was ‘Hey Yo” as you can see in the video below.

We here at PWUnlimited would like to extend our condolences to the family, friends, and fans of Scott Hall.
