WWE Confirms The Future Of The NXT Tag Team Championship
April 8, 2022What is next for the NXT Tag Titles?
Earlier this week it was revealed that one-half of the NXT Tag Team Champions Nash Carter had been released by WWE. The reason why Carter was released was never revealed by WWE. His ex-wife for the last almost two weeks had been posting abuse claims against Carter and even posted an old photo of him pretending to be Hitler. Regardless with the release, the big quest was what WWE will do with the NXT Tag Team Championships.
Friday afternoon WWE announced that “The current NXT Tag Team Champions have relinquished the title.” They also noted that new champions will be crowned on the April 12 edition of NXT 2.0. The NXT Tag Team Championships were already set to be on the line next week as MSK was slated to defend their titles against Grayson Waller and Sanga.

WWE did not state who will be in the match next week to crown the new champions, yet one could assume Waller and Sanaga will at least be in the match.
