WrestleMania Week Show To Be Pre-Taped The Week Prior

Not everything the week of Mania can be live.

WrestleMania comes to us on April 10th and 11th and there are a lot of shows the week prior. We will have Monday Night RAW, WWE Hall Of Fame, two-night NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, and Friday Night Smackdown. One of those shows can not go live.

According to a new report from Fightful, they report that the final Smackdown before WrestleMania on April 9th will be a pre-taped show. The show will tape the prior Friday on April 2nd. The reason for this is because WWE is currently using Tropicana Field right now and the Tampa Bay Rays need the arena back that week. The Rays first home game of 2021 will be that Friday, April 9th when they host the New York Yankees.

WWE has a busy few weeks upcoming weeks leading into WrestleMania and they also have to relocate the Thunderdome for afterΒ  WrestleMania. It has been reported that the University of South Florida’s Yuengling Center (fka the Sun Dome) will be the next location of the ThunderDome.
