WrestleMania Main Event Still Not Decided On
March 24, 2020As of right now, WWE has still not decided what they want as the night one main event.
This year WrestleMania will be a two-night event taking place on both April 4th and April 5th. With that, they need to decide what matches will main event either night and it looks like they are still contemplating what to do.
According to WrestleVotes on Twitter, they report that right now WWE is actually thinking about possibly putting a women’s match as the main event. If that was to actually happen then it would be the RAW Women’s Championship match with Becky Lynch defending against Shayna Baszler.
Talked with a source who said donโt be surprised to see a womenโs match (Becky v Baszler) as the โmain eventโ on the Saturday portion of WrestleMania. Lineup is being worked on now, upwards of 16 total matches. Likely 8 per show.

When WWE first announced that WrestleMania would be a two-night event many assumed one night would be main evented by WWE Championship match with the other headlined by the Universal Championship match.
One thing to note is that back on Friday during the Smackdown main event segment where Goldberg and Roman Reigns had their contract signing, Michael Cole did state that the Universal Championship match would main event one of the matches. The feeling as that would be night two.
