Update On Seth Rollins Injury Angle

Update On Seth Rollins Injury Angle

August 9, 2024 Off By Tim Jarrell

The Architect is pretty banged up still.

This past Monday night on RAW we saw an angle where Seth Rollins was attacked and basically destroyed by Bronson Reed. Reed game him a huge Samoan Drop and six Tsunami splashes that led to Rollins coughing up blood and have to be stretchered out. It was stated earlier this week that this was done to write Rollins off why he heals up his body and we now have more on what’s going on.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer reports that Seth Rollins is not technically injured and is cleared to wrestle. The issue though is Rollins is pretty banged up and is expected to miss some time because of it.

“Rollins is cleared but is still banged up and is trying to get in the best physical condition. His issues are chronic but not at the point to getting flagged. He’s trying to stay ahead of the things so will be taking a little time off. We’re not sure if he’ll be back for the PPV or not, but if he is, it would now seem to be with Reed and not with [CM] Punk, which makes the Punk finish even more just a way to get out of a match and having Punk lose. Although they no doubt will get to Punk vs. Rollins at some point.”

Now we do know that Rollins has been dealing with a knee injury since this past January and got surgery on the knee after WrestleMania 40. Rollins then returned only a few months later to the shock of everyone thinking it may have been too early. Now Rollins was cleared to return and did not do anything to our knowledge against doctors orders but now coming back when he did has seemed to play a toll on his body.

It is unclear how long Rollins is going to miss as WWE does have the Bash In Berlin event coming up at the end of the month. If we do hear anything further regarding how long Rollins will be out, we will keep you updated.
