Update On Rick Boogs Knee Injury & Surgery

April 7, 2022 1 By Tim Jarrell

Rick Boogs will start rehabbing very soon.

Last weekend was WrestleMania 38 and the first match of night one was The Usos defending the Smackdown Tag Team Titles against Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs. During the match, Boogs put both Usos on his shoulders and his knee gave out. He went down and Nakamura had to finish the match himself. Later in the show, it was told he suffered a quad patella injury and would require surgery.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Johnson reports that Rick Boogs did undergo surgery earlier this week in Birmingham, Alabama to repair his quad tear. The report states that Boogs is slated to return home this weekend. Once home he will then begin the process of healing and rehab.

At this time it is not known exactly how long Boogs is expected to be out of action. The surgery was said to be a success so hopefully, Boogs can have a smooth recovery on his way to the ring.

If we do hear anything else regarding Boogs and his recovery, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
