Update On Matt & Jeff Hardy’s WWE Status

The Hardys could leave WWE in 2020.

It is no secret that Matt Hardy could be leaving WWE soon and now we know exactly how soon. Last month it was reported that Matt’s contract expires in February and it was not looking good for WWE to retain him and get him to sign a new deal.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Johnson reports that Hardy’s contract is officially up on March 1st. Johnson also goes on to state that there are “major hurdles” between the two sides. The issue has nothing to do with pay, but Matt being concerned about how the company would use him if he signs a new deal.

As far as it pertains to Jeff, his deal will not expire in March alongside Matt. As of right now Jeff’s contract with WWE has been put on hold due to his legal issues and time off for injuries. Johnson continues to say that WWE has pushed Hardy to address his personal health after his last arrest and that Jeff is working hard to do so.

With this even if Matt decides to leave the WWE in March Jeff will not be able to leave with him at the same time. We have seen Matt with his “Free The Delete” videos that really make it feel like he is positioning himself for time after WWE soon.
