Update On Kushida’s Future After Leaving WWE
April 19, 2022What could be next for Kushida?
Monday night word came out that Kushida was done with WWE. It was believed that his contract expired and he had left the company. No other details were really known at the time of the initial report, yet we do have some more information now.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Meltzer talked about Kushida no longer being with WWE and did reiterate the original report that his contract expired. Meltzer also noted how New Japan actually expects to have Kushida back with the company come this June.
Just a note, one of New Japan’s biggest shows of the year Dominion will be taking place on June 12th.
Kushida signed with WWE back in early 2019 and last appeared on the show last Tuesday night. Kushida had his last match for WWE on the March 22nd edition of NXT LVL UP.
Regarding the last match Kushida had for New Japan, that match was a match back on January 29, 2019, where he teamed with Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kazuchika Okada, and Ryuske Taguchi against Bullet Club.
If we do hear anything else on Kushida no longer being with WWE and what is next for him, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
