Update On Keith Lee’s Current Status After Long Layoff

Keith Lee Still isn’t ready to return.

Former AEW World Tag Team Champion Keith Lee has not been seen on AEW TV for nine months. His last match was on the December 23 edition of Collision where he beat Brian Cage. Since then Lee’s whereabouts have been kept pretty under wraps.

According to a new report from Fightful, they report that he has still not been cleared to return and that is due to an undisclosed medical issue. Lee was planned to take on Swerve at AEW Worlds End last year and as we saw the match did not happen as planned. It was only days before that match that Lee was sidelined. The report states that he has not been a regular at TV tapings in quite some time or creatively factored into anything either.

At this time there is no timetable on when Lee will be returning to AEW. It is also unknown if all this time away will be added to the back end of his AEW contract.
