Update On Hangman Being “Injured” On Dynamite, Could Miss Revolution

Last night on AEW Dynamite it looked as if Hangman Page may have suffered an ankle injury. This morning there were conflicting reports with one saying he was injured and another saying he was not. Now we have learned what is actually going on with Hangman.
According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, Alvarez states that many in the company last night did not know what was going on with Hangman Page but have learned it was indeed all a work. A work in case Page is unable to work the Revolution pay-per-view. Alvarez would continue by saying that there is something in Page’s personal life that could prevent him from working the pay-per-view on March 3rd. if that is the case and Page needs to be pulled from the World Title match then they would use the ankle injury as the storyline reason why Page would be out of the match.
Alvarez stated he did not know what the personal matter is but this could be something that they would not know till the last minute if Page will need to be pulled or not. Yet if that is the case then Samoa Joe’s title defense at Revolution would become a singles match with he and Swerve Strickland.
