Unexpected Name Announced As New Smackdown Commentator

Unexpected Name Announced As New Smackdown Commentator

April 16, 2021 0 By Tim Jarrell

WWE has revealed Corey Graves’s replacement.

This past week we saw a shakeup when it comes to commentary in WWE. Tom Philips was moved off RAW being replaced by Adnan Virk and Samoa Joe was replaced by Corey Graves. With Graves moving to RAW, that leaves an open slot next to Michael Cole on Smackdown.

It was announced Friday morning that joining Michael Cole on Smackdown every week will be none other than Pat McAfee. McAfee had been teasing on his show that he was up to something and this is that something. McAfee posted a video on social media announcing the news.

McAfee joining Cole on commentary is very unexpected as from the reactions to this announcement it seems like no one actually saw this coming. McAfee will be starting tonight with the post-WrestleMania edition of Smackdown and he will join Cole every week going forward.

If we do hear anything else regarding Pat McAfee joining the Smackdown commentary team, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
