Two Title Matches & Buy In Match Set For AEW Full Gear

Three more matches set for Full Gear.

AEW Full Gear is less than two weeks away and there are already some big matches announced for the show. Tonight on AEW Dynamite more matches were announced including solidifying one title match, announcing another title match, and setting up the match that will take place on The Buy-In.

First off tonight on Dynamite it was announced that Hikaru Shida will defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Nyla Rose. Nyla Rose is currently the number one ranked contender in the women’s division but honestly, this match being announced was very underwhelming. rose has not competed on Dynamite since September 9th and has not really been seen much on TV at that. The AEW Women’s World Title has really seemed like an afterthought and announcing this match just felt like randomly announcing a match just so the title is defended on the card with no real reason.

Also tonight we saw a lumberjack match with the TNT title on the line that was won by Cody who successfully defended the TNT Championship. This now solidifies that he is the one that will defend the TNT Championship against Darby Allin. Allin and Cody have a long history in AEW with Allin always coming so close to defeating Cody and just not quite getting the job done in the end coming so close so many times.

Finally in the TNT Title match, John Silver was one of the lumberjacks and at one point jumped into the match and attacked Orange Cassidy ultimately costing him the match. After that, it was announced that Orange Cassidy will be taking on John Silver on the Full Gear Buy-In.
