Two Matches Announced For Tonight’s Smackdown
January 3, 2020WWE has announced two tag matches for tonight.
This week Friday Night Smackdown comes to us from Memphis, TN and this morning announced the only two matches so far from the show on their website.
First off tonight we will see Roman Reigns team up with Daniel Bryan to take on the team of King Corbin and Dolph Ziggler.
Seeing as how the final SmackDown of 2019 marked the passage of time, perhaps it was somehow fitting that Roman Reigns spent most of the episode clocking King Corbin.
First, The Big Dog launched an attack on the outspoken monarch at the top of the show that effectively delayed the scheduled Triple Threat Match between his adversary, Daniel Bryan and The Miz to determine Universal Champion “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt’s opponent at Royal Rumble. Then, in the main event, he destroyed Corbin’s chances at that opportunity outright by naturalizing him mid-contest.
As a result, King Corbin & Dolph Ziggler will be out for royal revenge when they go head-to-head against Reigns and the Superstar who won the Triple Threat Match, Daniel Bryan.
As far as the second match announced for tonight we will see the Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley teaming with Sasha Banks to take on Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross and Lacey Evans and Dana Brooke. Last week during the NFL on FOX it was announced that Banks would take on Evans in a singles match and it looks like the NFL on FOX were either told wrong or that plans have just changed over the last five days.
One week after Sasha Banks had the audacity to taunt Lacey Evans’ daughter right in front of The Sassy Southern Belle, Evans came onto “A Moment of Bliss” hosted by Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross and called out The Boss & SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley to face her & Dana Brooke.
Though Banks and her best friend ultimately won the match, Evans is determined to get even one way or another. What will happen when Evans & Brooke battle not only Banks and Bayley, but the always-crafty Bliss & Cross as well?
So far these are the only things announced for tonight’s show and if we hear anything else for the show we will keep you updated.
Friday Night Smackdown comes to us tonight and every Friday at 8pm ET/5pm PT live on FOX.
