Triple H On Why NXT Will Not Be Inside The ThunderDome

It does not seem like NXT will ever come to us from the ThunderDome.

The WWE ThunderDome kicks off tonight with Friday night Smackdown. They will run RAW, Smackdown, and pay-per-views from the ThunderDome, but no NXT. It was kind of a head-scratcher as far as why they would not run NXT from there to make it look like a bigger show as well.

Earlier this week, Triple H held a media call ahead of NXT TakeOver XXX and was asked about this. Hunter stated that the reason NXT will not be coming to us from the ThunderDome because of their great relationship with Full Sail University.

Right now, with trying to move SmackDown, SummerSlam, Raw for the foreseeable future to the Amway Center, as spectacular it’s going to be, right now, they have enough on their hands. Our partnership with Full Sail is one of the most important partnerships we have and right now we are there. In this environment you can never say never and we’ll see how it goes. On Friday night everybody is going to get to see their first shot of the ThunderDome. I can’t tell you how much we’ve missed everyone, our fans, everyone, and having them be a part of it. That energy is the secret sauce of everything we do and I cannot wait to get them back, whether it’s on video or any way possible. The sooner we can get them back the better. WWE fans are everything to us. For the foreseeable future, staying in Full Sail is where we’re at and we’ll see where everything goes. We’re figuring it all out, just like everyone else, day by day and where we can do things to the best for our fans and the safest way for our performers and crew.”

NXT has TakeOver XXX coming to us tomorrow night from Full Sail University with a number of interesting matches taking place on that show.
