WrestleMania could be coming to London.

This past April we saw the 40th edition of WWE biggest event WrestleMania. WrestleMania has never been held outside of North America, only in the United States and Canada. For a while fans have been asking for an overseas WrestleMania and many have said to do it in the UK. When Money In The Bank was in the UK in 2023 John Cena teased bringing WrestleMania to London and now that seems more possible than ever.

According to a new story from the Daily Star, they are reporting that Triple H and Nick Khan had a surprise meeting today with the mayor of London regarding WrestleMania. The mayor of London, Sadiq Khan stated the following about the meeting,

β€œI am delighted to have met with WWE Hall of Famer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque and WWE President Nick Khan today to discuss how we can work to make LondonΒ WrestleMania’s first international destination.

London has great pedigree in hosting the biggest international sporting events from around the globe – and I’m determined to cement our city’s reputation as the undisputed sports capital of the world, as we work together for a better London for everyone.”

The meeting itself between Sadiq Khan, Nick Khan, and Triple H took place at London’s City Hall. No other details have emerged from the meeting as far as a year as to when London could host WrestleMania. We do know that WrestleMania 41 next year will be held in Las Vegas, yet past that everything is still wide open. Indianapolis is confirmed to host a future WrestleMania, but when in the future has yet to be confirmed.

Daily Star also got a comment from WWE President Nick Khan where he started the following,

“Sadiq Khan and his team are working hard on positioning London as a sport and entertainment capital of Europe and it has been great to hear more on his vision for how WWE can support them on that journey.

WrestleMania has delivered more than $1.25 billion in economic impact for its host cities, with this year’s event in Philadelphia attracting over 145,000 fans from 64 countries. There is a lot that needs to be discussed further but we share the ambition of Mayor Khan in trying to bring a stand-out WWE Premium Live event to London.”

WWE Cheif Content Office Triple H was also quoted in the article stating the following,

β€œWWE and London have a long and successful history dating back many decades, and meeting with Sadiq Khan to discuss what the future of this partnership could bring has been excellent. This year alone WWE has taken record-breaking events around the world to Australia, France, Scotland, Saudi Arabia and Canada – the appetite from the fans is there, and the excitement from the Mayor and his team in London is palpable.”

If we do hear anything further on this meeting regarding London hosting a future WrestleMania, we will keep you updated here.
