Top Ring Of Honor Star No Longer Under Contract

An ROH star is happy but doesn’t want a new contract.

Back in July of 2018 it was said that Jeff Cob was signing with Ring Of Honor. In his first official match with the company, he would win the television championship. ROH officials really liked Cobb and as you can tell by him winning gold in his first match, they seemed to have big plans for him. Over the next year and a half, Cobb was featured in a number of high profile matches and one of the more fan favorites in the company.

According to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, Satin reports that Cobb is technically no longer under contract to the company. Satin states that Cobb’s deal expired on January 1st and Cobb opted to not sign a new long-term deal. Instead, Cobb will work for the company on a per date basis.

Despite not wanting to sign an actual deal to stay exclusive to Ring Of Honor, it is said that Cobb is happy with ROH’s current product and plans to continue working them unless something changes. It looks like Cobb is allowing himself to keep his options open.

Over the week NXT superstars Matt Riddle posted a photo with his former tag team partner stating that the two could reunite and soon.
