Top NXT Star Forced Off TV, Return Date Uncertain

One of NXT’s most popular stars of the last year may not be seen for some time.

This past weekend at WrestleMania, one of the most talked-about title changes was Charlotte Flair defeating Rhea Ripley for the NXT Women’s Championship. Now, it looks like we know why WWE had to change the title.

According to a report from PWInsider, they report that former NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley has been forced to return to her home country of Australia as her work visa has expired. It was reported that she must return home before she can start the process to renew the visa. At this time it is unclear how long it will be till she can return.

With both countries, Australia and the United States having travel bans they are requiring all visitors/residents to self-quarantine.

It was stated she will not be appearing on this week’s episode of NXT and when WWE films multiple episodes of NXT next week that is more episodes she will have to miss. It could be at least a month if not longer before we see Ripley back on NXT.
