Top NXT Group Discussed For Call Up, Not Full Group

Two of a current three-man group are being considered for the main roster.

It is that time of year, right after WrestleMania, where we start to hear and even see some NXT call-ups. We always hear of more than what actually happens and with call-ups, we see changes to acts as well. That could be happening with one NXT stable.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Sapp reports that Imperium is being discussed for a main roster call-up. Yet the report states that the pitch was only for Gunther, the former Walter, and Marcel Barthel. Fabian Aichner was reportedly not part of the pitch. This could be happening soon, hence why Gunther challenged and lost a match for the NXT Championship last night.

The report also goes on to state that once Gunther agreed to move to the United States, the plan was for him to end up on either RAW or Smackdown. Sapp also noted how this call-up could happen as early as this Friday on Smackdown.

Again is was not stated why the pitch was only for Gunther and Barthel and not Aichner. If we do hear anything else on this interesting situation, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
