Top AEW Start Could Return From Injury Soon
July 19, 2022AEW could have its top star back.
Since winning the AEW World Tag Team titles, many fans wanted to see them defend them against FTR. When the Young Bucks lost those titles last week to Swerve in our Glory it was reported that a “major angle” was set for the Young Bucks that did not involve FTR. Now we have some insight on what that big angle may be and it could involve a top star returning from injury.
According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Sapp reports that there are tentative plans for former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega to return soon. Sapp notes that certain staff was made aware of plans for Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks to be involved in a 6-man tag program at All Out on September 4th. It is unclear who the trio could work against as originally the plan was to feud them with Adam Cole and RedDragon. Yet all three of those men are currently dealing with injury issues with no timetable on a return.
Kenny Omega has been out of action since last November after he dropped the AEW World Tite to Hangman Page at Full Gear. Originally it was thought that Omega was only supposed to be out of action for a few months. Omega ended up having to have a few more surgeries than expected as well as facing a few setbacks along the way as well.
If we do hear anything else on Omega possibly being back in time for All Out on September 4th, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
