New Japan is about to get wild.

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced this week that they will be running the Windy City Riot in Chicago on April 16th. No matches have officially been announced but all the names you expect will be at the show and today another big name was announced for the show.

New Japan announced today that the former IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley will be appearing at the show. The announcement was made with Moxley cutting a pro on him being involved with the show.

When I think of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, I think of concussions, I think of swollen red chests, I think bruises and swelling. I think of sweat flying, I think of individuals digging down deep into their souls to prove who’s the best on that blue mat. The men who call themselves the best in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Shingo, Okada, and Tanahashi.

One thing has not changed. I am the boogeyman in New Japan Pro-Wrestling and nobody can call themselves the best as long as I am lurking in the shadows. So I will be in Chicago on April 16. New Japan Pro-Wrestling, like you always do, bring your best.

Moxley will join the likes of Will Ospreay, Jay White, Tom Lawlor, Jeff Cobb, Tomohiro Ishii, Yuji Nagata, Jonah, Fred Rosser, Brody King, Juice Robinson, and David Finlay who have all previously been announced for the show.

If we do hear anything else regarding New Japan’s Windy City Riot on April 16th, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
