Tony Khan Says Important AEW Announcements Are Imminent

More big announcements are coming.

It has been a running joke in the last five years that Tony Khan hypes up an announcement that either most fans don’t care about or will only be fore small percentage of the fanbase. There have even been times Tony will hype up an announcement for it only to announce another announcement. Now Tony is saying the biggest announcements in company history are coming soon.

While speaking with TV Insider, Khan said multiple announcements will be made shortly regarding AEW. He noted we are on the verge of big this for the company.

“It is a very exciting time in AEW for many reasons…We’re days away from AEW All In on August 25. This is the most important and exciting time in AEW’s history. In addition to what is happening in the ring, there are so many exciting things happening behind the scenes at AEW right now. We’re on the verge of the most important announcements in the history of AEW. There are multiple aspects. The arrival of these announcements is imminent. We’ll have big news that could come at any time. Isn’t that the best kind of wrestling surprise when you know something is coming and you want it and it’s exciting, but you’re not sure when it’s going to happen? You have that feeling it’s going to happen. In this case, I have more than a feeling to paraphrase Boston. I have been working on this for a long time. We have a great team here. The future of AEW is very bright.”

No real word on what these announcements may be but many people have started to speculate. Some think this could be the impending TV rights deal that can make or break the company going forward. Yet today an announcement for two of Tony Khan’s companies was made.

It was announced today that All Elite Wrestling will become the front-of-shirt sponsor for the Fulham Women’s Football Club. a press release on this announcement stated,

Fulham Football Club is delighted to announce a new partnership with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), professional wrestling’s first true mainstream competitor in more than two decades, responsible for revitalising the industry with a renewed emphasis on creative spirit and in-ring athleticism.

The partnership will see the AEW logo adorn Fulham Women’s shirts during the 2024/25 season, and reflects AEW’s commitment to progressing women’s sport.

The collaboration has been founded off a shared passion for entertainment and sport on the global stage, driven by both organisations’ mission to foster a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for its fans and athletes.
