Tony Khan Officially Announces Latest AEW Signing
July 26, 2024A former World Champ is signed.
This past Wednesday on AEW Dynamite we saw Britt Baker defeat Hikaru Shida and then Mercedes Mone come out and tell Baker she is not getting a shot at the TBS Championship. With Baker’s attention on Mone at the time, we then saw former NWA World Women’s Champion Kamille jump into the ring and attack Baker. It had been rumored for some time that she was signed to AEW and Tony Khan has since confirmed it.
AEW President Tony Khan sent out a tweet on Thursday confirming that Kamille is signed and is All Elite. As stated above it has been reported since April that Kamille had signed with the company and we were just waiting till she arrived. She arrived this past Wednesday and then also appeared for the company Thursday at San Diego Comic-Con alongside Mercedes Mone.
She returned to AEW last night on Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite + appeared beside TBS Champion @MercedesVarnado today at @Comic_Con, and now it's official!@Kamille_brick is All Elite! pic.twitter.com/Cbtzu3naP4

Kamille showing up on Dynamite was not her official AEW debut because it was not her first time in the company. Kamille first appeared for AEW back in 2021 when she was building up an NWA World Women’s Championship match with Leyla Hirsch that took place in the NWA Empower show.
It seems at least for the time being Kamille will be aligned with Mercedes Mone in AEW and next week on Dynamite Mone will explain who Kamille is and why she is here.
