Tony Khan & MJF Reportedly Have Heated Conversation Leaving Both Frustrated

TK & MJF had a heat conversation this past weekend.

When you are an athlete working for a major company or team, usually you have to get any and all interviews approved. Typically you can’t just set things up without informing your boss or at least the PR team about the interview setup. This happened with MJF and it lead to a heated conversation between him and Tony Khan.

According to a new report from Fightful, they report that Tony Khan and MJF had a discussion this past weekend that was said to have both men frustrated. It was stated that the conversation was about MJF’s interview with Ariel Helwani. The two spoke for over an hour and notably about MJF’s contract status, which runs till 2024.

The report goes on to state that the contract status itself has left MJF frustrated of late. Tony Khan took issue with the interview being set up without notifying AEW’s PR team. Those who Fightful spoke with stated that the company would not have had an issue with the top of the interview itself but that MJF did not go through them to set it up. Both men were reached out to and declined a comment on the record.
