Tony Khan Explains His “Balance Of Power” Tweet
November 12, 2020Khan meant only AEW not all of wrestling.
Yesterday AEW President Tony Khan sent out a tweet saying massive matches and surprises will be coming on Dynamite for the remainder of 2020. Tony also stated that the balance of power will shift last night. Many took that as they felt they had something bigger than anything WWE has. Yet last night that was not the case.
Last night the biggest angle on the show was the return of PAC coming after Eddie Kingston who was trying to tear Penta and Fenix apart. PWInsider reached out to Tony Khan and he clarified that the tweet was meant about only AEW and power with the Eddie Kingston/PAC storyline. Tony Khan stated the following,
“There’s more to come, Pac coming back is the beginning of a huge push for the rest of the year, as I said in my last tweet just now. Balance of power in storyline refers to Eddie [Kingston]’s strong power base as a character which could be threatened, but it also refers to the big push AEW is making for the rest of the year into and through December and into 2021.”
It was announced that PAC’s first match back since being stuck in the UK due to the pandemic will be against The Blade next week. It looks like the end game is a big match between PAC and Kingston.
