
Tony Khan Announces The Signing Of Another Former NXT Superstar
January 4, 2022AEW has signed another wrestler released by WWE in 2021.
Over the last two years, we have seen a lot of wrestlers released by WWE. In 2021 alone, over 80 wrestlers were released or left the company and a number of them have shown up in AEW. Today Tony Khan announced that yet another not only had a good showing for the company over the last week but has signed with the company as well.
Tuesday morning Tony Khan announced that Jake Atlas is ALL ELITE. Jake Atlas appeared last week in Jacksonville for AEW as they filmed content for AEW Dark: Elevation. Atlas took on and defeated Serpentico in a match that aired this past Monday night.

Atlas himself has also commented on his signing with AEW stating “Superstar is back.”
With Atlas, AEW is not only the place he will be working in the future. It was also announced on Monday that he will be appearing for West Coast Pro Wrestling on February 11th.

This news of Atlas signing with AEW actually comes less than a week after the company announced that they have signed Mercedes Martinez.
