Tony Khan Announces 2020 Double Or Nothing
February 5, 2020All Elite Wrestling is returning to Las Vegas this May.
Last May All Elite Wrestling didn’t just hold their first pay-per-view but their first even as a company. That event was Double Or Nothing on May 25 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Now it looks like they are coming back with another Double or Nothing in 2020.
AEW President Tony Khan spoke with Sports Illustrated talking about the first Double or Nothing last year.
“Last May, we sparked a revolution with our inaugural Double or Nothing pay-per-view event in Las Vegas. Double or Nothing rocked the wrestling industry and led to Wednesday Night Dynamite, a top-rated weekly show on TNT reaching millions of viewers worldwide, and over 140,000 live event tickets sold to date.”
Khan would then go on to confirm that they are returning with Double or Nothing on May 23 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
“It’s been an incredible run, and only fitting that we return to Las Vegas to celebrate our one year anniversary with AEW’s marquee event. On Saturday, May 23, Double or Nothing is back for round two at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Last year’s event changed the world of wrestling, and this year the stakes will be even higher.”
The first Double or Nothing was headlined by Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega and saw the debut of Jon Moxley. It also saw, in many people’s eyes, the 2019 match of the year between Cody and Dustin Rhodes.
First, AEW needs to get past their next pay-per-view AEW Revolution on February 29 from Chicago, Illinois.
