Have we seen the last of Toni Storm?

For many years Toni Storm has been considered one of the best female pro wrestlers in the world. There was a time when no women were having the kind of matches in the ring that Storm was. While in AEW she reinvented herself as “Timeless” Toni Storm and has not been seen in AEW since dropping the Women’s World Championship to Mariah May at All In. Since then she has worked in CLL and Stardom and now she is claiming she is done with pro wrestling.

While speaking with James Dator of SBNation, Storm claimed that she is retiring and leaving professional wrestling.

β€œI’m not used to being a loser. I’ve failed at everything. I lost in AEW, I lost in Japan, I lost in Mexico. This is the last you’ll hear from me again. Enjoy Mariah May as your champion. You can all enjoy that. AEW is just fine without me. Everything is going well for AEW. They don’t need Toni Storm.”

It is unclear if this is real or some sort of a storyline deal to get people to not think Storm will return to AEW and when she eventually does it would be more of a surprise. Many think this weekend at Full Gear she could return during Mariah May’s champagne celebration.

If this is a real announcement, then that would mean the 14-year career of Toni Storm would be over. Storm has wrestled for many different companies winning titles almost everywhere she has worked. Storm is a former Mae Young Classic winner, former NXT UK Women’s Champion, former AEW Women’s World Champion, and was ranked the number one female pro wrestler in 2024 in the PWI 250.

If we do hear anything further on Toni Storm saying she is done with wrestling, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
