Title Match Set For Next Week’s Friday Night Smackdown
August 14, 2020Next week the Intercontinental Championship will be on the line.
Tonight on Smackdown AJ Styles came down to the ring with Joseph Park. Styles stated that he has worked over the statistics to determine who should be getting a shot at him and the Intercontinental Championship. AJ then revealed that no one has earned or deserves a shot at the title.
Styles was then interrupted by Jeff Hardy. Hardy came out and talked about how he was in the IC Title Tournament but was unable to advance in the tournament because Sheamus got him arrested. Hardy would then go on to challenge Styles for the title and Styles told Hardy no. This then led to the two brawling in the ring before hardy got the better of the champ.
Later in the night, it was announced that AJ Styles will defend the Intercontinental Championship against Jeff Hardy next week on Smackdown.

So far this is the only thing that has been announced for tonight’s Smackdown. We do know that Smackdown will come to us from the Amway Center in Orlando and WWE will try to have fans involved with the show.
