Title Match Announced For NXT TakeOver: Portland, Updated Card
January 29, 2020The NXT Title match is set.
On Saturday after Worlds Collide, Triple H announced that this week on NXT William Regal would announce the next challenger to Adam Cole and the NXT Championship. Tonight, well we found out Daddy is coming for goldie.
Tonight we learned the former NXT Champion Tommaso will finally have a chance to get back what he never lost. We saw Ciampa backstage take out Roderick Strong, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O’Reilly backstage. As this was going on we learned the NXT Champion Adam Cole was in NXT General Manager William Regal’s office talking over who his challenger will be.
Cole then came out with Regal and Cole demanded Ciampa sign the contract for the match. Cole would come down to the ring. Ciampa would try to attack before Cole could get in but would get hit in the top of the head by a microphone. Cole would get in the ring and try to hit Ciampa with the NXT Championship before Ciampa hit him with a big boot and then powerbomb the champion through a table. Ciampa who was bleeding from the top of his head would then sign the contract in blood.
