Title Match Announced For Next Week’s RAW
December 16, 2019Next week we get a title match for Christmas.
Tonight on Monday Night RAW, Seth Rollins stated how he wanted to be the leader of RAW and knew he had to do something people would not like. Later in the night, there was a gauntlet match to crown the number one contender to Rey Mysterio and the United States Championship. After a 45-minute gauntlet match there was actually no clear winner but a challenger was set.
After the match and after Rey Mysterio saved Humberto Carrillo from an attack by Andrade, Seth Rollins and AOP would come out to attack the US Champ. Rollins would then issue Mysterio a warning for what is to come. In the back, Rollins was interviewed and challenged Mysterio to a match with the United States Championship on the line for next week’s show.

Later in the show, Mysterio would state that he will get Andrade for what he did to Humberto, but as for next week, he accepted Rollins and his challenge. So next week with the United States Championship on the line Rey Mysterio will defend against Seth Rollins.

Not only will this be the first time the two have a match for the United States Championship, but this will also be the first time the two will ever meet one-on-one.
