Title Match Announced For Next NXT Takeover
January 16, 2020Rhea Ripley’s first challenger has been set.
Last night on NXT the main event was a big battle royal to crown the next number one contender to Rhea Ripley and the NXT Women’s Championship. Some of the surprises in the battle royal were a returning Kacy Catanzaro. We also saw Teagan Knox for the first time since being brutally attacked by Dakota Kai back at WarGames. Finally, former NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler entered the match after not being previously announced.
In the end, we saw the final two come down to Io Shirai and Bianca Belair. Bianca Belair would end up eliminating Shirai to become the new number one contender. Now we said would face Rhea Ripley for the title and that is is Ripley successfully defends her title atΒ Worlds Collide against Toni Storm.
