Timothy Thatcher Injury Cause Fight Pit To Be Postponed
January 6, 2021The fight pit has been pushed back some.
Tonight at NXT New Year’s Evil we were supposed to see the second ever Fight Pit match in NXT. The match was supposed to see Timothy Thatcher in his first Fight Pit against Tommaso Ciampa. Yet the match was pulled from tonight’s show due to an injury to Thatcher.
Before tonight’s NXT, General Manger William Regal revealed that Thatcher had suffered a minor injury. With that, due to the brutality of the Fight Pit match the NXT medical team could not actually clear Thatcher to compete in the match tonight.

To fill the void of this match not taking place we got a mixed tag team match on the show. We saw Johnny Gargano and Candice LaRae take on the team of Kushida and Shotzi Blackheart.
Regarding the injury to Thatcher, it was not stated what the actual injury is and how long he will be out of action. If we hear anything further on the injury to Timothy Thatcher, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
