Tiffany Stratton & Charlotte Flair Segment Didn’t Go As Planned

Tiffany Stratton & Charlotte Flair Segment Didn’t Go As Planned

Tiffany and Charlotte went off-script.

On last night’s Friday Night Smackdown, there was a segment between Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair. The entire segment felt odd and awkward, and not just because the crowd would not let Flair speak. Now we have learned it felt as such since they did not follow the plan.

The segment seemed to go off the rails when the crowd was booing Flair so loudly that she could not speak. This seemed to get to Flair, and she would stop in her tracks a few times, seemingly losing her train of thought.  Stratton would play it up and taunt the crowd, amping them up even more. Stratton would then get personal with Flair, stating, “Your WrestleMania record may be four and three. You may be the queen inside of the ring, but outside of the ring you ain’t the queen of shit.”

Flair would go on to make fun of Stratton’s high-pitched voice, calling her squeaky. Stratton would continue by calling Flair a nepo baby, where Flair would correct her, saying it is the neop queen and the number one nepo baby. Stratton would then make things personal again stating, “You’re gonna be just like you are outside of the ring, alone. What is that record, like what, zero and three?” in reference to Flair’s three failed marriages.

Flair would get the final word here as Stratton tossed down her mic and left the ring, saying, “Hey Tiffany, is that why Kaiser’s in my DMs?”  In reference to Tiffany Stratton’s real life boyfriend Ludwig Kaiser.

WrestleVotes was first to put some information out on the segment, noting that they said very little on the rundown and went off-script quite a bit.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful would then send out a tweet, re-confirming that the two went heavily off script.

PWInsider had more information on this Saturday morning, noting some thought that Stratton fired away on Flair in retaliation for how Flair “ate her up” on a previous face-to-face segment. It was noted that some they spoke with felt Stratton stood up for herself in a way that put the spotlight back on her. Others felt the segment going awry didn’t help anyone.

They continue by saying several felt that Flair was thrown by the crowd. That was pretty obvious on TV, and it was not the first time since her return that the crowd reaction rattled her in mid promo.

When it comes to Flair’s final line about Kaiser, one source referred to it as coming off like “a flailing shot from a boxer who didn’t realize they were KO’d” and that Flair was obviously “gotten to.”
