Three Continental Classic Matches Announced For Dynamite

The C2 is kicking off this week in Chicago.

Over the weekend AEW announced all 12 men that will participate in the 2024 Continental Classic. The tournament kicks off tomorrow night on Dynamite and three matches have been announced for the show. we will see two gold league matches and one in the blue league.

When it comes to the blue league match, we will see a first time ever singles match as Mark Briscoe takes on Shelton Benjamin. This will be the first time the two meet in a singles match, yet in tag team action they have shared the ring ten times in Ring of Honor. Plus two other multi-man matches as well making it an even dozen.

As far as the gold league, the first match we do know will see Ricochet take on Claudio Castagnoli. This match will be the fourth match between the two as they have met in the past in both Pro Wrestling Guerilla and CHIKARA.

The other gold league match we have for Dynamite will see a rematch from Wrestledream as Darby Allin will take on Brody King.

With these three matches, we also know that Chris Jericho will defend the Ring of Honor World Championship against Tomohiro Ishii.
