Third Title Match Announced For WrestleMania Backlash

WWE has announced another title match for Backlash.

Coming up on May 16th is WrestleMania Backlash, the first pay-per-view since WrestleMania 37. So far two matches have already been announced, two title matches, and another title match was announced this afternoon.

WWE has announced that in basically a rematch from WrestleMania, Rhea Ripley will defend the RAW Women’s Championship against Asuka. Rhe Ripley defeated Asuka at WrestleMania to become the new champion. Asuka already technically got her rematch for the belt but that was interrupted by Charlotte Flair and ended in a no-contest when Flair attacked both Ripley and Flair.

At WrestleMania Backlash, new Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley will test her mettle when she takes on former titleholder Asuka in a WrestleMania rematch.

Ripley captured her first Raw Women’s Title from Asuka in a thrilling matchup on The Grandest Stage of Them All, and The Nightmare’s ability and take-no-prisoners attitude makes her a true force of nature. Considering the often unmatched skill of The Empress, will Ripley will have what it takes to best Asuka a second time? Will she be ready for Asuka … again?
