The Future Of WWE Games Confirmed
March 24, 2022WWE locks down game developer for many more years.
Earlier this month WWE 2K22 came out and was a breath of fresh air after WWE 2K20. Fans have talked about how much they like the game and how this game is better than expected. Yet there has been news that this game needed to be a hit for 2K as WWE could move the WWE games license to EA as talked happened last year. Now we know what the future of WWE’s mainline game will be.
It was announced Thursday morning that 2K will remain the developer and publisher of the WWE mainline videos games for many years to come. the WWEGames Twitter account posted the photo below stating that they will continue the partnership between WWE and 2K for many more years.

It is really cool to see that the new WWE 2K22 game has been seen as such a success that WWE is confident in 2K going forward to continue to keep making their game. Yes, it would have been cool to see what another studio could do with the WWE video game but then that would be someone else starting from new and having to build up what the games will eventually be.
WWE 2K22 came out back on March 11th and has seen a lot of online praise for the game for the many different aspects of the game. 2K also just released their 1.06 patch for the game and has said more updates will come as more things need to be fixed or updated.
