Status Of AJ Styles Confirmed After Smackdown Injury
October 6, 2024AJ Styles did get hurt on Friday.
This past Friday on Friday Night Smackdown AJ Styles made his big return and had a match with Carmelo Hayes. Unfortunately, the match had to be stopped early due to Styles suffering an injury. At the time, we did not know if this was a real injury or just a storyline, but now we have clarification on that.
According to Dave Meltzer, on the Sunday Observer daily update, he did state that AJ Styles did suffer a legit injury on Smackdown. This also comes after yesterday, when Jackie Redmond took to social media and stated that Styles suffered a “mid foot ligament sprain”. It looks as if Styles will still need to get an MRI on the foot to further know the extents of the injury.
Coming out of Smackdown last night, I can confirm that AJ Styles suffered a βmid foot ligament sprainβ also known as a Lisfranc injury.
AJ will have an MRI later this week to determine the severity of the injury.
