State Georgia Tried To Shut Down AEW Tapings This Week

AEW was almost shut down this week while filming in Georgia.

This week AEW had to film stuff from QT Marshall’s gym/school in Norcross, Georgia. They were no longer allowed to film in Florida and it looks like now they are no longer to film in Georgia.

As of last night, the state of Georgia has been put under a “stay at home” order and it has been reported that on Thursday Georgia authorities came to the tapings trying to tell them they had to shut down.

According to WrestlingInc, state officials showed up telling them they needed to stop the tapings but the company had the proper paperwork to allow them to film as the “stay at home” order had not gone into effect yet. It was stated that the officials stuck around for the remainder of the tapings to ensure that the proper codes were followed.

AEW President Tony Khan reached out to WrestlingInc stating that this was no big deal. That it is not uncommon for officials to show up at a show just to make sure they have the proper paperwork and permits to film. Khan stated that the officials were Georgia state code enforcement and this was just routine check-in like could happen any other week.
