SPOILER: Championship Vacated At NXT UK Tapings
July 7, 2022One NXT UK champion is out with an injury.
In NXT Uk there are technically five superstars that hold titles within the brand. There is the NXT UK Champion, NXT UK Women’s Champion, NXT UK Tag Team Champions, and the Heritage Cup Champion. Yet right now coming out of the latest NXT UK tapings, the brand is left without a main NXT UK Champion.
According to spoilers posted on Reddit coming out of the latest tapings, it was revealed that Ilja Dragunov had to relinquish the NXT UK Championship. The spoiler notes that Dragunov had his foot in a protective boot when leaving the title in the ring. As of right now, we do not know when the injury was suffered.
The last match to air with Dragunov was a loser leaves town match with the former Jordan Devlin. Back in June, he did work a match where he defended the NXT UK Championship against Wolfgang that has yet to air. Coming out of these tapings, there was no word and what they will do with the NXT UK Championship.
