Smackdown Star Out With Legitimate Injury, Could Be Out for Months

Was the Jeff Hardy angle done to write someone else off television?

Two weeks ago on Smackdown, the show opened with an angle where Elias was hit by a car and taken away in an ambulance. They then tried to make us the driver was Jeff hardy and he was drunk driving. We then learned it Hardy was not drunk driving. It now looks as if this may have all been done to write Elias off TV.

This past week on Smackdown Michael Cole revealed that in the accident caused Elias to suffer broken ribs and a torn pec. Many were skeptical that being hit by a car can tear your pec. Yet according to John Pollock of Post Wrestling, Pollock reports that Elias has suffered an actual pectoral muscle tear and that he could miss multiple months on the shelf.

This is not the first injury for Elias over the last year as he was injured while in the King of the Ring tournament in 2019. He suffered an ankle injury in the tournament. Plus back in November, he suffered an injury they kept him out of action for two months.
