Sick Champion Pulled From WrestleMania Leads To Reigns Pulling Out

One champion being sick lead to reigns not wanting to work WrestleMania.

We learned on Thursday that Roman Reigns would not be working Wrestlemania this year. We also learned Thursday morning who will replace Reigns in the match against Goldberg with the Universal Championship on the line. Now we know what lead to Reigns’ decision to pull out of the show.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer reports the one-half of the Smackdown Tag Team champions The Miz is sick. With Miz being sick that apparently upset The Usos and in turn lead to Roman reigns making the decision to no longer participate at WrestleMania.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, he does also report that The Miz did not work the WrestleMania tapings over the last few days. The Miz and John Morrison were set to defend their title at WrestleMania against The New Day or The Usos. The two teams were set for a number one contenders match tonight on Smackdown.
