Shaq Responds To Challenge From “Cupcake” Cody Rhodes

It looks like the mixed tag is on for March 7th.

This past week on AEW Dynamite Cody Rhodes laid down the challenge to Shaq and Jade Cargill. He stated he would like to do this with his wife but that is not possible due to her being pregnant. That is when Arn Anderson would bring out Red Velvet who cut a promo on Jade and impressed Cody enough for him to basically agree to team with her.

Thursday night on Inside The NBA on TNT, Shaq responded to the challenge of Cody Rhodes. Shaq would go on to call him “Cupcake” Cody Rhodes and state that he is in and all Cody has to do is name the time and place.

“I’ll tell you what, Cupcake Cody Rhodes. I’m gonna beat you like I almost beat Chuck [Charles Barkley]. Remember when I almost gave Chuck the left and he flinched? That’s how I’m gonna beat you. Name the place. I’m gonna wrestle him. It’s done. I’m gonna do it. I’m gonna wrestle Cody Rhodes. Me and Jade are gonna wrestle Cody and Red Pumpkin Pie [Velvet].”

The plan is for this match to take place at the Match 7th AEW Revolution pay-per-view event. This match where Cody will team with Red Velvet and Shaq will team with Jade Cargill will for sure be the biggest matches in the young careers of both Velvet and Cargill.
